1. Scope:
This SOP encompasses the procedural guidelines to be followed by the IT personnel responsible for updating mailbox aliases for AdvaCare employees. The process is to be executed exclusively through the Google Admin Console platform.
2. Procedure:
2.1 Accessing the Google Admin Console:
The IT personnel should log in to the Google Admin Console using their authorized credentials, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
2.2 Navigating to User Accounts:
Upon successful login, the IT personnel should navigate to the "User Accounts" section within the Google Admin Console dashboard.
2.3 Selecting the Relevant User:
From the list of users, the IT personnel should identify and select the AdvaCare employee for whom the mailbox alias needs to be updated.
2.4 Choosing the “Add alternate emails” menu:
After selecting the user, the IT personnel should proceed to the "Add alternate emails" section.
2.5 Add alternative email:
In the "Alternate email" field type the alternate email and click on the "Save" button to save the changes.
2.6 Remove alternative email:
In case an alias needs to be removed, click on the "x" located to the right of the "domain" field and click on the "Save" button to save the changes.
