This SOP will guide the IT staff member through the steps to update, revise and remove stages from Odoo projects.
Main actions to perform
Basically, there are three main actions to perform in order to update correctly stages of a project in Odoo:
• Update new stages to a specific project
• Move required tasks of the specific project under new stages
• Remove old stages from the specific project
To perform the main actions mentioned above, follow the steps below:
Update new stages to a specific project
1. Go to the
Stages section
in
Odoo Project module. The overview of stages is displayed.
2. Select a specific stage and click on the "Edit" button.
3. In the "Projects" field, type the desired project name. Once the project name has been displayed (in the search result dropdown), select it.
4. Click on the "Save" button.
5. To return to the overview of stages, click on the "Stages” breadcrumb.
6. Repeat the process from point 2 to 5, until all the required new stages are updated with the project name.
Move required tasks of the specific project under new stages
1. Go to the
Projects section
in
Odoo Project module. The overview of projects is displayed. Select a specific project.
2. Inside the selected project, move a task (that is under the stages columns to be removed from the project) to the stages columns to be displayed (new ones).
5. Similar to step 2, move a task (that is in the stages columns to be removed from the project) to the stages columns to be displayed.
6. Repeat the process for point 5, until all the archived tasks are moved.
7. To return to the overview of projects, click on the "Projects” breadcrumb.
Remove old stages from the specific project
1. One more time, go to the
Stages section
in
Odoo Project module. The overview of stages is displayed
2. In the search bar, Click on the drop-down field "Filters".
3. Click on the option "Add Custom Filter" and select the "Projects" option.
4. In the search field, type the specific project name and click on the "Apply" button. The list of stages of the project will be displayed.
5. Select a specific stage that needs to be removed and Click on the "Edit" button.
6. In the "Projects" field, find the desired project name. Once the project name has been identified, click on the "x" icon located on the right side of the project title to delete it.
7. Click on the button "Save".
8. To return to the overview of stages, click on the "Stages” breadcrumb.
9. Repeat the process from point 5 to point 8, until all the required old stages are removed with the project name.
